Aria Ga

We live just on the outskirts of downtown Gulu, it is about a 30-40 minute walk to the center of the city along dusty, and at times busy roads. There are many people who walk, although I still can't figure out which is the best side to walk on (against or with traffic). They drive on the left side of the road here, but on some of the more narrow roads they seem to barrel right down the center. Thankfully, there are well worn walking paths on either side of the road. The neighborhood we live in is called Area Under God, but when pronounced sounds more like 'Aria Ga'.

Our Road

One of several routes into downtown.

Just outside our home in Gulu

Me, Christina (Germany), Oola (Uganda), Ahmed (Iraq), and Niki (Canada) in Kampala for the day beofre heading up to Gulu. Oola showed us around before heading to South Africa for his field experience.
